1978 Alan Super Record

 

 

One of the first aluminum frames from the 70's.  Alan would thread the ends of the tubes and the inside of each lug.  Then a layer of epoxy was applied prior to assembly.  This is the original "Screwed and glued" construction.  This bike is probably the most comfortable bike I have (except for my Air Friday).
